Daniel Peter was the first known chocolate maker to add milk to chocolate to create the beloved milk chocolate. He was a Swiss chocolate maker who used local milk to produce a creamy product. Peter’s Chocolates came to the US in the early 1900’s and has become a favorite for confectioners all over the country.
