This product is imported from the Phillipines where coconut is King! This sweet flake coconut is sweetened with sugar and can be used in all applications which call for coconut. It is especially good used as a garnish on cakes. It also can be toasted* for a sweet crunchy effect!
* to toast coconut – spread out on a cookie sheeet and bake in a pre-heated 200 degree oven. Turn the coconut with a spatula every 5 minutes. Cook for for about 20 minutes. Let cool Toasting seems to bring out the coconut flavor and adds crunch!
